The "explosion" in the U.S. credit market has heightened risk aversion, coupled with increased expectations for a Federal Reserve interest rate cut. Spot gold has hit a historical high for four consecutive days, surging $115 in a single day to over $4,300 per ounce.

In contrast, Bitcoin has not shown "safe-haven attributes," with its movements more closely aligned with U.S. tech stocks: it fell below the $110,000 mark last night, continuing the "1011 crash" trend from last weekend. JPMorgan analysis suggests that the recent correction in the crypto market and large-scale liquidations may be driven by native crypto investors, rather than institutional or retail ETF holders.

In the past 24 hours, the liquidation amount in the Bitcoin market reached $700 million, involving over 200,000 people, with the fear index dropping to 22 (extreme fear zone). A Glassnode report indicates that if the price fails to rebound above $117,100, the market may further contract, and historically, losing this range often signals a medium to long-term correction; recently, long-term holders have increased profit-taking, which may indicate "demand exhaustion." On the funding side, on October 16, Bitcoin spot ETFs saw a total net outflow of $536 million, with all 12 ETFs showing no net inflow, among which Ark Invest and 21Shares' ARKB had the largest outflow.

From a viewpoint perspective, some sovereign nations have begun to pay attention to Bitcoin, even considering it as an asset reserve; however, Bridgewater founder Ray Dalio believes that Bitcoin has drawbacks and that central banks will not hold it. He also pointed out that stablecoins are not a quality wealth storage method — they are essentially redeemable for corresponding currencies but yield no interest, making them less favorable than interest-bearing fiat assets from a financial perspective. Their only advantages lie in global usability and ease of trading and settlement, suitable for holders who do not care about interest; regarding whether stablecoins can solve the U.S. Treasury issue, he believes that if stablecoin buyers themselves hold U.S. Treasuries, it is essentially "moving U.S. Treasuries from one pocket to another," and whether new demand for U.S. Treasuries can be generated remains to be seen.

Bitcoin's high yesterday was around $111,982, and the low was around $107,427. Bitcoin has been closing in the red for several days and has now fallen below the previous consolidation range. Today, it reached a low of $103,528, showing weak momentum, and is still in a downward trend in the short term, with short-term attention on the support at the $100,800 level.
