Rezolve said Smartpay’s live infrastructure across Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Angola immediately expands its payment reach in high-growth markets and provides a tested transaction framework for scaling digital-asset payments globally. The deal underpins Rezolve’s Multi-Asset Payment Initiative with Tether to integrate USDT, BTC and ETH into retail payments, aiming to offer a merchant-fee-free, blockchain-based network with instant fiat settlement via Rezolve’s Brain Checkout technology. Smartpay founder Rocelo Lopes will lead Rezolve’s Digital Currency Initiative. Rezolve said the acquisition also advances its roadmap for artificial intelligence (AI)-driven “Agentic Commerce,” enabling autonomous agents to complete real-time purchases using digital assets.
