Many friends mentioned the topic of circles under this tweet:

Many people believe that making money in WEB3 relies on resources, connections, and circles.

This statement is certainly not wrong, but I find that many people misunderstand the true meaning of "circle"!

What exactly is a circle? What kind of circle is beneficial to oneself? How can one integrate into a circle that promotes personal growth?

I happened to see that classmate Zicai also discussed circles in their public account, and they proposed a viewpoint that I strongly agree with and have been practicing:

A circle is not about resource exchange or forming cliques, but rather a space of atmosphere and suggestion: humans are the only animals that can accept suggestions. Within a circle, people are subtly influenced and motivated, imitating and drawing closer to each other, finding companions in the process of self-discipline, persistence, mutual assistance, and growth, thus going further together.

This is also what I believe to be the greatest value of a circle!

I see a circle as a "community of mutual empowerment," as "cross-cycle companionship," rather than a "short-term transactional space."

In a circle, everyone's values are first highly aligned, then mutually influential, and can bring long-term value.

A circle can be your think tank, your credibility multiplier, and a space where you can open up and communicate when facing problems! All of these can help you seize opportunities better and avoid risks!

The most important point is that, as mentioned earlier, within a circle, people are subtly influenced and motivated, imitating and drawing closer to each other, finding companions in the process of self-discipline, persistence, mutual assistance, and growth, thus going further together. When you see other friends developing in a better direction: everyone avoids wrongdoing, you naturally won't want to do wrong; everyone is striving to evolve, you naturally won't want to fall behind; everyone is working hard to seek the essence of life, you naturally won't give up thinking!

So the significance lies in: receiving good influences, great advice, and long-term cross-cycle companionship!

Now, let's talk about how to enter a circle that truly suits you?

1) First ask yourself: What do I want?

Not every circle is suitable for you. Some chase resources, some pursue ideas, and some need companionship. First clarify your goals: are you looking for cognitive enhancement? Resource collaboration? Or cross-cycle companionship?

2) A circle is always attracted by value, not demand!

This statement is very important. Many people enter a circle with a "I want" mindset, and as a result, they often become marginalized.

The correct approach is: first give, then take. Even if it's just sharing information, summarizing notes, or asking good questions, you can become a valuable member in the eyes of others.

3) Long-termism + stable presence!

In a good circle, people are more willing to get close to "long-term visible individuals." Can you maintain stable output and communication over six months, a year, or even longer? This is the difference between "insiders" and "transients."

4) Find people with aligned values, not just the "most impressive" ones;

A circle is not a fan club for celebrities, but a community. If you can find people with similar ideas, the trust and influence between each other will accumulate.

5) Proactively connect and dare to express!

Many people in circles are "divers," making it difficult to establish real connections. Be a bit bolder; most people are willing to help, which is a fundamental human need. So dare to ask questions, provide feedback, and share your feelings, as this will help you gradually enter the core.

In summary—

Entering a circle that suits you is actually—clarifying goals → continuous output → long-term companionship → value alignment → proactive connection.

Only in this way can you be not just a "transient in the circle," but a "co-builder in the circle."
