Recently, I only have a little time late at night every day, and tomorrow I have to travel again. At the end of the month, I plan to go to KBW to take a look. Many friends think that running around is completely useless and just a waste of time. Some old OGs on stage talk so much that it’s not as profitable as pre-selling $WLFI or shorting WLFI at high positions.
What’s the point of what they are saying?
I have a personal opinion that indeed, in the trading market, a large part of this is a waste of time and nonsense. However, for emerging markets like stablecoins and RWA, industry discussions and gatherings are the best opportunities to gain inspiration. For example, among the many RWAs in the market now, which one is truly the direction for future development?
For instance, what is the essential meaning of on-chain brokerages? These are things that need to be generated through collision and communication. Not to mention the abstract, but for project parties, Korea's #KBW might be the most direct opportunity to face Korean KOLs and the Korean market, as well as the Korean community. Everyone knows that Korean investors are trading very crazily now, and it’s well-known that the buying pressure for the Korean won on UpBit can stabilize.
But how can one penetrate the Korean market? This is a big question. For example, it is not easy for European and American companies to enter the Korean market. Even for other Asian language regions like Japanese and Chinese, entering the Korean market is very complex. The Korean community is rarely active on Twitter; Korean KOLs tend to use TG more, and the market for calls in Korea is more direct.
Moreover, if one does not understand the Korean market well, they can only be taken advantage of by Korean agencies. I have seen more and more project parties paying attention to the Korean market during this cycle.
Personally, I also hope to hear the voices of Korean investors, to know what kinds of projects they are more interested in, what types of analysis they prefer, and to see what methods Korean investors use when facing risks. These are all things I am very eager to know.
More importantly, I want to know if the concept of on-chain brokerages is feasible in Korea. Learning is more important to me.
