Convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein who once said bitcoin “can serve the same purpose as gold,” is once again being associated with the cryptocurrency after tech billionaire Elon Musk revealed that embracing bitcoin and releasing the alleged “Epstein list,” will be priorities for Musk’s upcoming America Party.
(Notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein allegedly kept some sort of “list” or record of clients who engaged with the young girls he abused.)
Maybe it was Musk calling U.S. President Donald Trump’s marquee legislative accomplishment, the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill,” an “outrageous, pork-filled…disgusting abomination.” Or it could have been when Musk accused Trump of being in the controversial Epstein files. Whatever the reason, the so-called “billionaire bromance” between Musk and Trump came to an abrupt end early last month and now, Musk wants out of the Republican Party.
“When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste and graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy,” Musk wrote on Saturday in a post on X. “Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom.”
Musk wants to do what no American has been able to accomplish in recent memory, form a successful third political party popular enough to influence key legislation.
“One way to execute on this would be to laser-focus on just 2 or 3 Senate seats and 8 to 10 House districts,” Musk explained. “Given the razor-thin legislative margins, that would be enough to serve as the deciding vote on contentious laws, ensuring that they serve the true will of the people.”
Musk has hinted at a few key areas the America Party will zone in on, such as debt reduction, free speech, and pro-natalism . But now, Musk has added Bitcoin and the release of the elusive Epstein files to the list of key priorities for his new party.

“How can people be expected to have faith in Trump if he won’t release the Epstein files?” Musk asked on Tuesday in a post on X. “Will exposing the Epstein files rank high on the America Party’s list?” asked one user. “100,” Musk responded. When another user asked whether the America Party will “embrace Bitcoin,” the South African-born mogul responded in the affirmative.
“Fiat is hopeless, so yes.”
Musk had not registered with the Federal Election Commission at the time of writing, so technically, the America Party is still just an idea, although many fake versions of the party appear to have flood the commission’s database.
Of course Trump, not being one to shy away from a war of words, hasn’t taken any of this lying down. “I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He explained that the Tesla CEO was upset because Trump scrapped the electric vehicle (EV) tax credits which encouraged consumers to buy EVs. The president also claims Musk was upset because Trump reversed course on his appointment of Jared Isaacman as head of NASA. Isaacman, also a billionaire, has close ties to Musk.

“Elon asked that one of his close friends run NASA and while I thought his friend was very good, I was surprised to learn that he was a blue-blooded Democrat,” Trump explained. “I also thought it inappropriate that a very close friend of Elon, who was in the Space Business, run NASA, when NASA is such a big part of Elon’s corporate life.”
