'Reset Button for the Degen Soul': Ethereum Coin Flip Game Pairs Gambling With AI-Powered Vibes

Which offers better odds: a coin flip or trading in the meme coin trenches?

That’s the question that crypto degens playing the recently launched Token Yugijo coin flip game are asking themselves. It is as simple as you think: wager USDC, pick heads or tails, flip the coin, and pray that you win.

Creator Bella Protocol—an AI-powered decentralized finance suite—claims that the game is transparently fair and verifiable on-chain due to its use of ARPA Network's Randcast.

That is a stark difference from the game of trading meme coins, which is full of smoke and mirrors. As a result, less than 1% of the approximately 26,000 coins launched each day on the popular meme coin launchpad Pump.fun actually hit a $100,000 market capitalization, also called graduating, according to Dune data.

“The coin flip game is like a reset button for the degen soul. After hours of struggling in the trenches, sometimes you just want to press a button, feel something, and maybe win a little joy back,” Bella Protocol CEO Felix Xu told Decrypt. “Degen culture has always been about more than just profits, it’s about vibes, guts, and a sense of shared chaos. We built this game as a tribute to that energy.”

Built on Ethereum layer-2 network Optimism, players at first will only be able to wager stablecoin USDC, but the game’s developers plan to support additional tokens that use the EIP-2612 standard. In its current state, Bella Protocol said that all transactions are entirely gasless.

“The appeal of a coin flip game is timeless. It is a universal and instantly understandable way to test your luck, whether you have been hunting meme coins all day or exploring the latest NFT drops,” Xu added. “Sometimes people just want entertainment, not another trade or bet on a chart. We wanted to create a place where users can enjoy the lighter side of crypto.”

To add to that feeling of fun, an AI companion named Ms. Bunny Flipton joins players on their degenerate gambling venture. She’s said to be friendly and charming; there to encourage you when you win and console you after a loss. Bella said she may be a bit sassy from time to time, however.

On top of this, there is an AI tip tool that gives advice on whether to go heads or tails next. However, since the game’s mechanics are verifiably random, the AI tip is no more likely to be right than you are. When asked why a tool tip for a 50/50 odds game would be useful, Xu said coin flips are more than just math.

“They’re about human psychology. No one plays with perfect logic; we all bring gut feelings, streak-chasing, and even a little superstition to the table,” he said. “Our AI isn’t trying to ‘beat’ the odds—it’s there as a mirror, reflecting patterns in how you play, nudging you to notice your own habits, and sometimes adding just a bit of drama.”

Finally, based on your “playstyle and vibe” the game may recommend you to check out a token—but it is definitely not financial advice, the game says. If a player is flipping fast and chasing risk, the token pick feature might recommend PEPE, DOGE, or WIF as they appear to be aligned with the player’s vibe.

These AI tools are powered by a personalized Claude model with three different sub-personas, each responsible for a separate feature.

"Token Yugijo isn't just another blockchain game," Xu finished. "It’s our vision for how playful interactions, when combined thoughtfully with AI and cryptographic innovation, can create something genuinely meaningful for users.”
