I'm not a worker, you know!

Yesterday, my old desktop with 6 screens overheated, the CPU was constantly above 90 degrees, clearly showing signs of thermal degradation. The old guy hadn't been opened for 21 years, and the dust buildup was too much for proper cooling.

Let's get to work! I unplugged all the cables, organized them, and ended up with dust all over my hands and head. I carried it to the balcony, opened the case, and the amount of dust was quite significant. The air intake was completely blocked with a layer of dust, and there was a big clump of what seemed to be a blended fabric on the fan.

A little brush and a gentle blow made me squint; I was covered in dust from head to toe, even my glasses were full of it, making me look like I was robbing a tomb. It was quite a "choke."

After all, helping girls build computers was my forte when I was younger. I had already bought thermal paste and cleaning agents, and in no time, I had it all sorted out. I put everything back together, plugged in all the cables, and powered it on!

Damn, what's going on? Only one screen lit up. Restart? Restarting didn't work either. Is it a driver issue? Reinstalling the driver didn't help. I plugged in all the screen cables again.

Oh~! Two screens lit up, progress! But the resolution was wrong, and no matter how I set it, it wouldn't work. I struggled with it for nearly two hours, and then I realized that none of the screens were lighting up on the graphics card. Suddenly, I remembered that maybe the power for the graphics card wasn't plugged in. I opened the case, and sure enough, it wasn't plugged in. Damn! I almost wanted to slap myself for such a blunder!

Everything was reassembled, and when I powered it on, all 6 screens lit up. However, one screen with USB 3.0 had resolution issues, definitely a poor connection. I shut it down, cut the power, sprayed cleaning agent and scrubbed all the ports on the back, let it dry, and reassembled it.

This time, there were no issues. I adjusted the screen layout perfectly, but unfortunately, after over 4 hours of hassle, I was covered in dust and utterly exhausted.

Originally, taking it outside would have cost 80 yuan, but doing it myself ended up being a huge loss. Professional tasks should really be left to professionals. I should just take a break and scroll through some yellow content, sigh~
