MEXC, a global crypto exchange, has announced a bold leap forward in its evolution by launching a $300 million ecosystem development fund. The announcement was made during the Token2049 conference in Dubai, aligning with the platform’s 7th anniversary.

The fund is designed to support blockchain innovation over the next five years, backing early-stage projects, public chains, wallets, stablecoins, and decentralized tools. This move signals a strategic shift in MEXC’s identity from a user-focused exchange to a holistic web3 infrastructure builder. Tracy Jin, COO of MEXC, said:

We see this commitment as an opportunity to position MEXC well above its perceived place in the industry as an exchange service. Our ultimate vision is to transition from a trading venue to an ecosystem platform that will cater to all the needs of crypto industry participants in unique, innovative, and attractive ways.

Rather than limiting support to capital alone, MEXC’s initiative aims to establish a collaborative framework that connects its trading platform with broader ecosystem projects. The fund will create a synergy between investments and the exchange’s business operations to accelerate innovation and adoption.

Projects interested in joining the initiative will soon be able to apply through a structured selection process. This builds on the recently announced $30 million initiative for nurturing web3 talent and active MEXC ecosystem initiatives, such as the Ethena synthetic dollar protocol and DEX+ trading platform, which have already shown significant traction.

With this fund, MEXC is positioning itself as a catalyst for long-term blockchain growth, empowering emerging technologies and enhancing user experience across the Web3 landscape.
