From the DID protocol in the game to the modular data layer, interpreting the development path of CARV.

At first, CARV gave the impression of being a Web3 game version of a DID protocol with amazing financing capabilities, combined with the Galxe mission platform. However, the current CARV has evolved into a modular data layer for games and AI.

How did this happen? In fact, this was not the planned path in the CARV white paper, but rather a result of the project's collaborative evolution with game players and the industry system environment.

For example, the concept validation of CARV's product comes from Vitalik's original language about decentralized society (DeSoc): SBT. In fact, in the late stage of the previous bull market cycle (Q4 21), there were many companions of CARV. Well-known projects include Web3 social protocol CyberConnect, Lens Protocol, Farcaster, and so on.

After a round of concept validation in the bear market cycle, the concept of SBT in the Web3 social field has basically been proven to be a pseudo-user demand. On the client side of Web3 social protocols like CyberConnect, Lens Protocol, Farcaster, the active users consist of a large number of airdrop witches and some niche subcultural communities. Almost no one in these user groups cares about the grand narrative of DeSoc and the technical language of SBT.

CARV cleverly chose a different path for product instantiation from the above protocols, choosing to start from the decentralized game ID protocol. This is because SBT, DID, and other new technical languages provide only marginal improvement to the user experience on the client side, but provide an exponential improvement in the commercial value of the product side data.

SBT, DID can achieve the elevation of user data, transforming from a key-value structure data table to a dynamic multidimensional matrix, with new features such as trustworthiness, sovereignty, privacy, and assetization.

Currently, among well-known Web3 protocols, the only ones seen to have achieved this are WorldCoin and CARV. However, the paths, scenarios, and goals of the two are different.

WorldCoin's path is $WLD token subsidy + ZK privacy protection, the scenario is financial accounts and UBI, and the goal is to become the financial infrastructure of the AI era.

CARV's path is $SOUL airdrop + game achievement task system + game community atmosphere, the scenario is the distribution channel for games and AI applications, and the goal is to become a modular data layer for games and AI applications.

So, how does CARV build a dynamic multidimensional matrix of data? We can observe the entire process from the CARV lifecycle of a piece of data:

  • Data generation and consumption: Application layer (CARV Play, CARV AI Agent, CARV oAuth, CARV Portal, CARV SDK, third-party applications);
  • Data sovereignty: ID layer (Web2 ID, KYC, DID, ERC7231, CARV Link, on-chain declarations, third-party verification);
  • Data storage: Storage layer (CARV DB, GreenField, Eigenlayer AVS, IPFS);
  • Data privacy: Computing & training layer (TEE);
  • Data assetization: Execution layer (Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos ecosystem, Ethereum L2);
  • Data trustworthiness: Verification layer (CARV verification node network).

When a piece of ordinary user data goes through the application layer - ID layer - storage layer - computing & training layer - execution layer - verification layer processing, it is like refining iron into steel, becoming high-value data.

Currently, the CARV ecosystem has 2.5 million game players and 750+ game & AI applications, generating millions of high-value data every month. This provides the prerequisite for CARV to obtain an average monthly income of $1 million on the B side.

As the market enters May, after the asset operation gameplay of PointFi (point plate) showed a decline, the asset operation gameplay of DePin/node mining (dividend plate) began to emerge. Compared to PointFi, the project party and investors of DePin/node mining are more likely to achieve a (3,3) positive equilibrium.

With partner Aethir's brilliant record of selling nodes for $65 million in 1 hour, CARV also plans to keep up with the times and sell the network nodes of the verification layer. CARV's node sales plan is basically consistent with Gala and XAI's price tiering mechanism.
