The RGB ecosystem project Bitlight launched the long-awaited airdrop activity on the 27th.

This article provides everyone with a nanny-level tutorial for participating in the activity, and collects and organizes some common tBTC testnet faucet websites. It also addresses and supplements some of the current issues and related comments.

I will continue to follow up on the RGB ecosystem project and the activity. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments or DM me directly. If this is helpful to you, please feel free to like and share to reach more people.

For an introduction to @BitlightLabs, you can refer to a related research report I previously published, which briefly describes the RGB ecosystem and Bitlight Labs' ecosystem project (more related information will be organized at the end of the article):

BTC Testnet Faucet Websites

▪️ Compiled some common BTC testnet faucet websites, it is recommended for everyone to claim from them, as they will be frequently used for various Bitcoin ecosystem projects' testnets in the future??

1️⃣https://coinfaucet.eu/en/btc-testnet/

Highly recommended, currently the faucet with the highest claim amount, the time interval increases gradually based on the number of claims from the same address, but the website often goes down, so it's recommended to claim from multiple addresses

2️⃣https://bitcoinfaucet.uo1.net/send.php

Can be claimed once per hour, with a maximum claim of 0.00002998 each time

3️⃣https://cryptopump.info/send.php

Can be claimed multiple times a day, with a claim of 0.00001 each time

4️⃣https://discord.gg/ooooprotocol

Enter the " /faucet" command in the Faucet channel and input the corresponding content to claim, can be claimed once every 24 hours, with a claim of 0.00001 each time

5️⃣https://faucet.bitvmcn.xyz

A faucet launched by @Bitvm_cn, a regular claim earns 0.0001, following Twitter earns 0.001, with daily limits

▪️Complete a transaction of any amount on the wallet

Due to the large number of participants, it is recommended to set the gas for the transaction directly to 80sats/vb or higher in the Custom section.

Common Questions and Answers

Regarding the current issues with the wallet plugin and related operational errors, the official explanation has been provided, and here is a translated version with some modifications and supplements that do not change the original meaning:

?Does the wallet have permission to read the clipboard?

Bitlight Wallet does not have permission to read the clipboard. In fact, for Chrome extensions, accessing the clipboard is technically almost impossible.

Bitlight Wallet's clipboard permission is limited to adding specific content to the user's clipboard, only for saving the mnemonic.

?After inviting friends, the invitation points are not displayed

The Bitlight server is currently experiencing high load, causing delays in frontend display. We have investigated the database, and all user points are accurately recorded. Please rest assured that user points are safe.

?Testnet transfer failed, showing "could not build tx: Insufficient funds: 0 sat available of xxxx sat needed"

This is due to insufficient BTC gas in the user's wallet account. Currently, the gas fees on the testnet are high, requiring more satoshis to support the transfer. Please try to make the transfer during off-peak hours on the Bitcoin testnet or use higher gas to complete the transfer.

?Testnet transfer failed, showing "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'error')"

This is an error but will not result in any loss of user assets. We will address this promptly.

?After transferring to the testnet address, the mempool shows the balance, but the wallet frontend does not display it

Since the activity was launched, Bitlight's servers have been under significant pressure. We are increasing server capacity. Please wait a moment and then try refreshing your wallet balance.

You can also check the BTC testnet browser (https://mempool.space/testnet) to query the wallet address. As long as there are corresponding UTXO transactions, the assets definitely exist.

?Unable to connect Twitter on the official website

The X API has traffic limitations. Since the activity was launched, a considerable number of users have attempted to connect to Twitter on Bitlight's official website. During peak hours, some users may be unable to connect, which is normal. Please retry during off-peak hours.

?No available testnet BTC

Please obtain tbtc from a Bitcoin testnet faucet. Bitlight does not provide any faucet links. Please find reliable faucets on your own and beware of potential scams.
