[Wintermute: Market Remains Weak in the Short Term Following Binance Hack, $76,800 as the Next Key Support Level] Crypto market maker Wintermute noted in its latest market report that last week's market direction was primarily driven by the Binance hack, rather than the Federal Reserve or PCE data. Binance lost approximately $6.3 billion on October 29th, reportedly related to TraderTraitor linked to North Korea, with about $3 billion frozen. Post-hack liquidations amounted to $1.5 billion, approximately 85% of which were long positions. Wintermute believes that the bargain-hunting funds following this decline mainly came from leveraged perpetual contracts, lacking support from spot buying and new funds, indicating continued market weakness in the short term. Wintermute stated that Bitcoin has broken below the key $80,000 level, and currently, observing from around $78,000, the 50-week moving average at approximately $76,800 is the next support level.
