[Musk Warns of Major Reshuffling for AI Cloud Providers; Over 200 Companies May Fail to Survive] According to a report by Jinse Finance on October 26th, citing Business Insider, Elon Musk issued a stern warning on social media regarding the future of new cloud computing service providers (Neoclouds). These companies, including CoreWeave and Nebius, primarily generate revenue by providing computing resources to artificial intelligence companies. Musk stated that the debt market is unwilling to provide financing to companies whose revenue relies almost entirely on AI data centers. He noted that SpaceX has secured $40 billion in debt financing to purchase graphics processing units (GPUs), but unlike these new cloud service providers, SpaceX also generates revenue from its Starlink and rocket launch businesses. Musk wrote, "This means that over 200 new cloud service providers will face a massive death and consolidation, like small fish. Some companies will survive, but not many." This statement was a response to a post by venture capitalist Chamas Palihapitia, who believes that new cloud service providers generally suffer from organizational chaos and insufficient capital. In response to another post speculating that Musk was trying to suppress stock prices in order to acquire companies at low prices, Musk stated unequivocally: "SpaceX will not acquire any new cloud service providers; it makes no sense."
