BTC edges up slightly, contract funds start betting on a rebound Looking at Binance's data this afternoon, the willingness to go long in the BTC and ETH contract markets has picked up, with funds starting to bet early on a potential price increase. While prices haven't shown a significant rise yet, contract positions and the funding fees paid by longs have already started to climb. As of now, BTC has risen about 0.4% compared to midday, with contract positions also increasing by roughly 0.4%. Meanwhile, BTC's funding rate for settlements at 4 PM rose from 0.004958% in the morning to 0.01%, and ETH's rate climbed from 0.003916% to 0.009885%. For the same amount of long positions, funding fees have doubled and increased by 2.5 times, respectively. From a personal perspective, this looks more like bullish funds slightly increasing their positions and waiting for a rebound. The increase in positions indicates new contract entries, while the rise in positive funding rates suggests stronger demand for longs. However, the new buying power hasn't yet pushed prices up significantly. If buying pressure continues to grow later, these early long positions could drive the rebound further. On the other hand, if prices fail to rise or start to fall, the funds betting on an increase might retreat, especially high-leverage longs, which could be forced to close positions and add downward pressure. Currently, this data leans toward a warming sentiment for going long. The next key focus will be on how U.S. investors behave after the U.S. stock market opens. Shoutout to @Gate, trade more markets!
