Xue Manzi sets off again: laying out green energy and welcoming the AI era From the communication industry to Internet entrepreneurship, I have experienced one round of technology waves after another. As a co-founder of UT Starcom and an angel investor for many years, my own investment experience has always been intertwined with the theme of 'technology changes lives, entrepreneurs drive industries'. Now, AI is bringing a new round of industrial transformation, and I have decided to embark on it again. This time, Ethan and I are launching a new green energy company with a straightforward goal: to prepare for listing on the NASDAQ main board and focus on the infrastructure that supports the continuous operation of AI - power, energy storage, and computing centers. Simply put, it means using Wall Street's capital capabilities to solve the industry level problem of AI "power shortage". Behind AI entering thousands of households is the constant running of servers, the continuous expansion of computing power, and the long-term thirst for stable energy. Models can iterate and applications can update, but every inference and training, the underlying layer is electrical. What I want to do this time is to connect green energy and AI infrastructure: around solar energy, energy storage, and computing power centers, we will gradually promote asset construction, commercial cooperation, and corporate governance, so that the technological vision can be incorporated into specific projects. The project is located in San Juan Province, Argentina, covering an area of 1050 acres: 100 acres for solar power generation, FGS long-term energy storage, natural gas, etc., to solve 24-hour uninterrupted power supply; Build a computing power center on 50 acres. Following the path of asset based listing and submitting the S-11 to NASDAQ, it takes about 6 months to reach the main board of the capital market. Why me, why now? By observing the actions of global institutions and tech giants, one can understand: Goldman Sachs: In September 2026, it was estimated that global data center electricity demand will increase by approximately 170% by 2030 compared to 2025, which is about 2.7 times higher; Some regions in the United States have to wait for seven years to connect to the power grid. The strong demand and slow power construction are the hard constraints on the development of AI. US Department of Energy: The electricity consumption of data centers in the United States is expected to increase from 176 terawatt hours in 2023 to 325-580 terawatt hours by 2028, accounting for 6.7% -12% of the national electricity consumption, with AI being the core increment. Musk has long warned that besides chips, electricity can also get stuck. No matter how good the chip is, it can't run without power. Ultraman said: AI power consumption will exceed people's imagination, and nuclear fusion and low-cost solar energy will have to be developed. Energy has become a long-term issue for AI. Son Masayoshi plans to invest $500 billion over four years to build an AI infrastructure in the United States through the "Stargate" project; Huang Renxun said that energy, computing, networking, and cooling should be designed together; Gates also believes that the combination of nuclear energy and glory can sustain AI data centers. These signals come together in one sentence: the larger the AI, the more valuable the stable and cheap electricity. The 'AI power shortage' is not a single point problem, but a problem throughout the entire chain of power generation, grid connection, transmission and distribution, energy storage, and construction period. Whoever can organize these links will turn industry demand into long-term business - this is also the starting point for me to do it again. Ethan and I will work around the centers of solar energy, energy storage, and computing power, transferring our past experience of investing in people, selecting projects, and growing up with the company to energy and AI infrastructure. From supporting entrepreneurs to building my own business, I am opening a new chapter: allowing green energy to support the intelligent future and allowing old experiences to create value in the AI era. This green energy company, which is striving to go public, has set off like this.
