Pump.fun Co-Founder: Approximately $5.9 Million PUMP Removed from Circulation Since Custom Pairs Launch, Accounting for 0.33% of Circulating Supply

Odaily Planet Daily News – Pump.fun co-founder Alon posted on the X platform stating that since the Custom Pairs feature of Pump was launched last month, approximately $5.9 million worth of PUMP has been removed from circulation, accounting for 0.33% of the current circulating supply. This primarily includes tokens locked in liquidity pools, burned tokens, and tokens stored in the protocol fee wallet. He pointed out that if PUMP-related trading pair activity maintains its current level, on an annualized basis, the amount of PUMP removed from circulation each year would be equivalent to approximately 3.35% of the current circulating supply. Additionally, he believes that as on-chain trading activity grows, Custom Pairs could bring more trading volume and buying demand for smaller market cap meme coins and other on-chain tokens.
