**[Brazilian Securities Commission Launches Tokenized Securities Pilot Project to Test Blockchain Transactions]** Odaily Planet Daily News – The Brazilian Securities Commission (CVM) has issued Resolution No. 249 to launch a tokenized securities pilot project, testing the simulation of stock trading and securities issuance, operation, and management on blockchain networks. The project will be conducted in a controlled environment, using specially created simulated assets for stocks and funds, without involving real financial risks. The project aims to compare the advantages and disadvantages of public blockchains versus private blockchains for securities operations and assess risks such as cybersecurity, smart contracts, interoperability, and network resilience. Blockchain networks participating in the pilot must encode market rules into smart contracts, ensure privacy in securities operations, and remain subject to regulatory audits. CVM will also utilize AI tools to assist in market monitoring. Brazil's largest stock exchange, B3, is currently developing a tokenization platform, which is scheduled to launch in 2027. The platform will use a self-developed stablecoin and, in its initial phase, will not offer 24/7 trading. It aims to integrate liquidity pools of digital assets with traditional markets.
