[Chip Stocks Lose $1 Trillion in Market Value, Investors Rush into Semiconductor ETFs to Bottom Fish] As chip stocks shed $1 trillion in market value, ETF investors are pouring billions of dollars into the sector amid the downturn. One fund that offers triple daily returns exposure to the semiconductor industry is on track to set a record for weekly inflows this week. Compiled data shows that the $72 billion VanEck Semiconductor ETF has attracted over $430 million in inflows over the past three trading days, potentially marking the largest weekly inflow since early September. Some investors are even more aggressive. Despite the Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3x ETF, which uses triple leverage, falling nearly 21% this week, it has still seen approximately $3.8 billion in inflows. For this $19 billion fund, the inflow is enough to set an all-time record for weekly inflows. However, the broader market outlook remains bleak.
