The best way to obtain a paper at this stage is as follows:
Assuming you are bearish on the current market, place a limit short order on Variational (financing $6000W but not yet issued) with zero commission, then go long on Papertrade with the same position and wait for a brief drop to close the position.
Variational makes money just to cover Papertrade's losses and can print papers.
In theory, paper can be obtained without loss.
However, in reality, Variational has a slight difference, but it is definitely cheaper than the transaction fee. If it is large, you can consider Extended (financing $1900W, not yet issued), which also has no transaction fee and no spread.
In this way, you can not only brush up the transaction volume of unreleased projects, obtain potential airdrop opportunities, but also print papers for free as collateral.
So someone is going to ask, what should we do if the market goes up? Papertrade's profit margin is not enough for the other platform to lose, as Paper's asymmetric profit mechanism requires a considerable amount of profit fees.
As I mentioned at the beginning, you are personally a snapshot of the current market. If the price is moving in the opposite direction and you are naked short, you are already facing losses. According to this logic, there is at least Paper's position to hedge for you.
If you are bullish on the market, follow the opposite logic to operate.
This is currently the best strategy I think.
