Bittensor Enters the 'Revenue Era': 25 Subnets Generating Commercial Income Subnet Summer, citing the August edition of the SubConnect Bittensor Revenue Index, reports that 24 to 25 Bittensor subnets are now generating actual commercial revenue. The ecosystem's annual revenue is estimated at $28M to $35M. By the end of 2026, the number of revenue-generating subnets is expected to grow to 35 to 40, with annual ecosystem revenue potentially exceeding $100M. Revenue is also starting to flow back into the token economy. Currently, around 14 subnets have initiated revenue-driven Alpha token buybacks, with this number expected to increase to 20 to 25 by the end of the year. Among them, a few subnets like VantaTrading and Bitcast have already achieved commercial revenue surpassing protocol emission rewards.
