Netstars and Kaia sign a memorandum of understanding to promote cross-border payment applications of stablecoins in Asia
According to TechFlow, on September 11th, Japanese payment service provider Netstars announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with L1 public chain Kaia operator Kaia DLT Foundation. The two sides will cooperate on the "StarPay-X" plan to promote the integration of Kaia ecological stablecoin into Netstars' "StarPay" and "Stablecoin Pay" payment networks. The focus of cooperation includes introducing Kaia based stablecoin payments in physical stores in Japan, exploring support for stablecoins denominated in Korean won, Hong Kong dollar, New Taiwan dollar, and major Southeast Asian currencies, and jointly verifying trading, liquidity, and clearing solutions for multi currency stablecoins. Currently, Netstars' payment network covers approximately 700000 merchants, with an annual transaction volume exceeding 2 trillion yen; Kaia is an EVM compatible public chain with an ecosystem covering over 420 decentralized applications and potential users exceeding 250 million.
