[Curve DAO Approves yRisk as Risk Provider for crvUSD and Llamalend]
According to Golden Finance, on September 4, Curve DAO passed Proposal 1492 on September 2, approving yRisk as the risk provider for crvUSD and Llamalend, concluding the selection process that began in July. The proposal was passed with 621 million veCRV votes in favor and only 5.33 votes against, and was executed 87 minutes after the voting ended. yRisk will receive a one-year revocable grant, including $125,000 in frxUSD principal (stored in sfrxUSD) and 568,000 CRV tokens, with its previously requested annual funding amount set at $250,000.
yRisk consists of two members who claim to be the main developers of Resupply, as well as core developers of Yearn and Resupply. Resupply is a stablecoin and lending protocol built on crvUSD and CurveLend, which suffered a $9.6 million loss due to a donation attack vulnerability in June 2025, though this incident was not mentioned in the proposal. Swiss Stake, responsible for the review, acknowledged yRisk's experience with Curve but expressed concerns about its limited team size and capacity to oversee multiple Llamalend market monitoring scopes.
The previous holder of this position, LlamaRisk, announced on May 29 that it would end its collaboration with Curve early, ceasing related work on June 30 and returning approximately 270,000 crvUSD in unallocated funds to the treasury. Curve founder Michael Egorov initiated the proposal solicitation on July 7.
