As part of the controlled wind-down of the BitMEX platform, we’d like to share some upcoming changes: 🔹 Position & Trading Limits: Risk limits are actively rolling out. For affected contracts, no new positions can be opened, and open positions may be force-closed to facilitate an orderly market wind-down. 🔹 API Access & Withdrawals: General BitMEX API connections will shut down on 23 September 2026. We encourage all API users to download any required account information ahead of this date. API-based withdrawals will remain accessible through 28 September 2026 at 04:00 UTC. 🔹 Post-Closure: Starting 23 September 2026, we are transitioning to a simplified web interface. To improve the long term security interests of users, returning users may need to refresh their user verification (KYC) information before withdrawing funds and downloading transaction history, undertake a test transaction and observe a cooldown period thereafter before withdrawing their remaining withdrawable balance.
