Domestic equity funds are such a trap. Every year, there’s some scandal involving fund managers. Either it’s a guy keeping mistresses, having affairs, or messing around with female subordinates. Or it’s a woman trading favors for career advancement. Basically, they’re just wasting retail investors’ money in all kinds of ways. There are way too many fund managers like Guo Weiling. They slap on a bunch of fake credentials and then make moves that are worse than what even amateur investors would do. It’s obvious what’s going on in their minds—since it’s not their own money, they don’t care. No matter what happens, it doesn’t affect their management fees or commissions. If they lose money, they blame the market or the broader environment. If they make money during a bull run, they brag about how amazing they are. Anyway, I’m never touching this kind of financial product. It’s clearly just a trap set up by securities companies and listed firms to exploit retail investors.
