[Coinbase Opens New Office in Singapore, Plans to Expand Local Workforce to Around 200 by Year-End] Foresight News reports, according to The Straits Times, Coinbase has opened a new office at One Raffles Quay in Singapore, covering an area of approximately 929 square meters, replacing its previous WeWork office space at Collyer Quay. Coinbase plans to increase its Singapore workforce from the current approximately 150 employees to around 200 by the end of 2026, covering roles in customer service, engineering, compliance, and sales. Hassan Ahmed, Coinbase's Country Director for Singapore, stated that the opening of the new office reflects the company's long-term confidence in Singapore as a global financial and digital asset hub. Earlier this May, Coinbase announced a global workforce reduction of about 14%, but Ahmed emphasized that the expansion plan in Singapore is independent of the aforementioned layoffs.
