[Iranian Ambassador to China: Plans to Charge Service Fees for Navigation Through the Strait of Hormuz Based on International Standards] Golden Finance reported on July 5 that Abdulreza Rahmani Fazli, the Iranian Ambassador to China, stated during an interview with the media on July 4 at the 14th World Peace Forum in Beijing that Iran plans to charge service fees for navigation through the Strait of Hormuz based on international standards. Fazli noted that prior to the outbreak of the U.S.-Israel-Iran war, navigation through the Strait of Hormuz had always been smooth and unobstructed. Currently, Iran has not announced any plans to impose (transit) fees or tariffs but intends to charge service fees in line with international standards to cover routine expenses such as ensuring navigation safety, navigation services, and environmental protection. This approach is consistent with practices in other waterways around the world. Regarding the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz, Fazli stated that navigation in the strait is gradually returning to normal, and the passage jointly managed by Iran and Oman is in the process of restoring order.
