I think we humans have long been stuck in the inherent mindset of 'judging the universe by our own standards,' unable to break free. We assume that intelligent life must have a humanoid form with limbs, a torso, and distinct facial features, must rely on a flesh-and-blood body to survive, must live on Earth-like planets, and must depend on water and oxygen to exist. Using our own biological form to define the standards for life across the universe—does this human-made 'rule' really hold true?
I believe the forms of intelligent life in the universe should be infinite:
For example, low-dimensional life might not have a three-dimensional body. It could exist by attaching itself to spatial networks, particle flows, or magnetic fields, without a tangible form—only consciousness and energy flow. It might be invisible to the naked eye, difficult to detect with instruments, and certainly far from humanoid.
Or take high-dimensional life, which transcends the constraints of three-dimensional space-time. It could travel through past and future, with forms that have long departed from physical flesh. It might exist as pure spiritual entities, cosmic energy aggregates, or embodiments of space-time rules—forms so incomprehensible to humans that we can't even grasp their existence, let alone define their appearance.
Could high-dimensional life manifest as gaseous beings, silicon-based aggregates, star-core consciousness, or interstellar magnetic field entities? They might lack hands, feet, heads, flesh, or bones—bearing no resemblance to 'humans' whatsoever.
I suggest Mr. Musk should let go of his obsession with humanoid forms and break free from the three-dimensional physical mindset. That would be the most accurate approach to understanding extraterrestrial civilizations.
