The American warship in front may have sailed from the inside of the strait to the outside of the Arabian Gulf, so it is understandable to symbolically fire a few shots. However, it is somewhat surprising that Iran has suddenly intensified its attacks on the United Arab Emirates, as the previously plummeting Dubai real estate market and luxury car market are likely to suffer another heavy blow.
The target chosen by Iran this time is undoubtedly tricky. The sudden withdrawal of the United Arab Emirates from OPEC is neither in the interests of Gulf oil exporting countries nor the United States. In this situation, being given priority care by Iran may not help him stand out.
Especially Fujairah is the only crude oil export port in the entire Gulf region that does not pass through the Strait of Hormuz. To strike here is to counter the recent attempts of various countries to bypass the Strait of Hormuz and export crude oil as a backup plan, in order to maintain the weight of the strait. Otherwise, once caught in a prolonged war lasting several years, countries will rush to repair pipelines and the Strait of Hormuz will be permanently abandoned.
Iran's various proactive actions to escalate the situation today are clearly aimed at gaining more chips to force the United States to make concessions, especially before the upcoming talks between China, the United States, and Russia. However, this has also made China quite uncomfortable. It seems that Iran does not want to be traded off during the meeting between the heads of state of China and the United States.
