[Iran Plans to Introduce Hormuz Strait Management Law, Banning Passage of Israel-Linked Vessels]
BlockBeats News, April 20 – On April 19 local time, Rezaei Kochi, chairman of the Iranian Parliament's Civil Engineering Committee, stated that Iran has drafted a comprehensive law on the management of the Hormuz Strait, which is nearing its finalization.
According to the law, the passage of goods and vessels linked to the Israeli regime will be prohibited. Warring nations will also be banned from passage without permission from Iran's Supreme National Security Council. Furthermore, any country causing harm to Iran will be prohibited from passing through the Hormuz Strait until compensation is paid.
Under this proposal, vessels from all countries must pay fees in Iranian Rials to pass through the Hormuz Strait. Thirty percent of the revenue from passage fees will be allocated to strengthening armed forces, while seventy percent will be used to improve the lives of the people. (Jin10)
