Sources: Iran has agreed to the Indian government's request to approve the passage of two liquefied petroleum gas carriers through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to informed sources, Iran has arranged special transportation to bring approximately 180 Iranian sailors in India back to their home country. Most of these sailors will fly back from the southern Indian city of Kochi. The source also stated that Iran will simultaneously repatriate the bodies of sailors who perished after the U.S. sank its ship off the coast of Sri Lanka. A week ago, a U.S. submarine sank an Iranian warship off the coast of Sri Lanka, further escalating the Middle East war and pushing the conflict closer to India's vicinity.
Sri Lankan officials stated that out of approximately 130 crew members aboard the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena, about 32 were rescued and sent to hospitals for treatment, while dozens remain missing. Meanwhile, India is negotiating with Iran to ensure the safe passage of its own vessels.
