The seller of the ((ai. com)) domain purchased the domain at the age of 10 for only $100 BlockBeats news, on February 10th, according to Malay Mail, Malaysian tech entrepreneur Arsyan Ismail sold his top-level domain ((ai. com)) in April 2025, reportedly for a transaction amount of up to 70 million US dollars (approximately 301 million ringgit at the time exchange rate), earning over 300 million ringgit in revenue. Arsyan gained attention for this high priced transaction, and in fact, he bought the domain name with his mother's credit card as early as 1993 at the age of only 10. At that time, he did not spend money on toys or games, but only purchased the domain name ((ai. com)) for $100 (approximately RM256 at the time). His mother was very confused about this deduction at the time - she didn't know what a domain name was, she just saw an "unknown origin" deduction on her credit card bill.
