Eric Trump: Developing countries need cryptocurrency more than the U.S.
On November 14, Eric Trump, the second son of Donald Trump, spoke with Yahoo Finance's Executive Editor Brian Sozzi in an interview. He addressed the rapid entry of sovereign wealth funds into the crypto space, attributing it to the global prevalence of worthless currencies, corrupt governments, and outdated banking systems. He believes that developing countries almost need cryptocurrency more than the U.S., as it directly addresses the pain points of lacking a modern financial system. He revealed that many government-backed funds are using idle winter energy in cities to mine Bitcoin, and some countries have even included Bitcoin in their national reserves. The development of cryptocurrency in Asia is particularly active. He emphasized that this is the future of finance, making systems cheaper and more transparent, while breaking the "exploitation" of users by big banks.
