This country does not work anymore as it is failing to improve living standards. The primary cause is financial extraction by the state, shifting capital away from productive investment into the bureaucracy. Inflationary policies make this worse by eroding wages and savings while benefiting those with access to debt and assets - trickle up economics. This is possible because of the lack of constraints on power - particularly with monetary and fiscal policy. We face a continuation of decay until these facts are commonly accepted and we address it.
