Jin10 Data, December 19 – The Bank of Japan raised interest rates by 25 basis points, increasing the short-term rate to 0.75%, in line with market expectations. The decision was unanimously approved. The Bank of Japan expects real interest rates to remain at extremely low levels. If economic and price trends align with expectations and improve, it will continue to raise policy rates. Even after the rate adjustment, the monetary environment remains loose, supporting the economy.
