Most companies are still stuck on 'can it move, how to control the motor,' while Tesla is already preparing for engineering and mass production. Time gap = market share. 2️⃣ The real moat isn’t the robot itself, but vertical integration. Brain (AI): Competitors rely on third-party models, while Tesla owns exclusive data loops and computing power. Heart (Energy): Robots are high-power terminals. Competitors need to outsource batteries, while Tesla produces its own batteries and energy storage systems. Vessels (Infrastructure): Competitors need to build networks from scratch, while Tesla’s charging/refueling network is already global. For robots to be 'usable, practical, and scalable,' it depends on this entire system. Figure / Boston Dynamics might make decent robots, but batteries need outsourcing, charging networks need to be built from zero, and software requires licensing.
