US HOUSEHOLDS PESSIMISTIC ON FINANCES DESPITE STABLE INFLATION A New York Fed report shows U.S. households grew more pessimistic about their current and near-term finances in November, even as inflation expectations remained steady: 🔸 One-year inflation: 3.2% 🔸 Three- and five-year inflation: 3% 🔸 Home price growth expectation: 3% 🔸 Medical costs: Expected to rise 10.1%, highest since Jan 2014 Despite financial concerns, labor market outlook improved, with lower job-loss risk and stable voluntary job-leaving expectations. Future earnings and income growth expectations remain positive. The report comes ahead of the Fed’s expected 25-basis-point rate cut to 3.50%-3.75% on Wednesday.(*Walter Bloomberg)
