[Fed Mouthpiece: December Vote Will Be Very Close]
Golden Finance reports that 'Fed mouthpiece' Nick Timiraos commented on the October Fed meeting minutes: 'At the Federal Reserve's October meeting, divisions deepened over whether to cut rates next month, leading to an increasing number of policymakers (potentially forming a slim majority) feeling uneasy about a December rate cut. Several participants assessed that if economic developments align with their expectations for the upcoming intermeeting period, a further rate cut in December might be appropriate. Many participants (not necessarily all FOMC voters) indicated that based on their economic outlook, maintaining the target range unchanged for the remainder of the year might be appropriate. The number included in "many" is greater than that in "several." The December vote appears to be very close.'
