[Data: Upbit and Bithumb's average daily trading volume in November drops to $1.88 billion, the lowest this year] According to The Korea Times, South Korean crypto exchanges are facing declining trading volumes due to a weakening market, putting pressure on profitability. Upbit's operator, Dunamu, reported Q3 operating profit of 235.3 billion KRW, up 180% year-on-year, with revenue of 385.9 billion KRW and net profit of 239 billion KRW. Bithumb reported operating profit of 70.1 billion KRW, revenue of 196 billion KRW, and net profit of 105.4 billion KRW. Bitcoin has fallen approximately 25% from its October peak, and the average daily trading volume of Upbit and Bithumb in November dropped to $1.88 billion, the lowest this year. Transaction fees account for about 98% of the revenue for both exchanges. Recently, they have accelerated the listing of new tokens to boost activity, but overall trading remains sluggish.
