**[Besent Defends Trump Administration and Promises Wage Increases]** Jin10 News, November 11 – According to U.S. media reports, U.S. Treasury Secretary Besent dismissed concerns about high costs during Trump’s administration, stating that the current administration inherited high price levels and that its policies will bring real income growth to American workers. On Tuesday, Besent said: “We inherited a price crisis. During Biden’s administration, inflation was the worst it has been in 40 or 50 years. We have slowed the pace of price increases, and they will continue to slow down.” Besent’s remarks came a week after Democrats won several key elections by focusing on concerns over living costs. Trump himself also dismissed such concerns, telling reporters last week, “I don’t want to hear about affordability issues,” because prices are “much lower.” As for utility costs, Besent stated: “Many families’ heating costs are actually driven by state governments.” He asserted that New Jersey’s high energy costs are due to policies enacted by outgoing Democratic Governor Phil Murphy.
