I have had a question for the past two years: why does Bitcoin seem almost invisible in DeFi, despite being the heaviest asset in the market? Either be packaged into various wBTC, or get stuck on a high-risk bridge, and finally everyone defaults to 'BTC is suitable for lying still'. Until I looked at @ build_on_bob and found out. BOB is not following the old path: it is not forcing Bitcoin to do complex calculations that it is not good at, but moving heavy tasks off chain, leaving Bitcoin only responsible for "final arbitration". This is the essence of BitVM: it runs quietly and only goes on the chain for confrontation when someone raises a dispute; As long as one party remains honest, the funds are safe. Combined with TOOP extraction path, multi signature operation, fraud proof, mixed ZK and other security gears, the bridge does not require a large pool of liquidity to be pre stored, nor does it require you to exchange BTC for shell coins - assets are always anchored on the Bitcoin blockchain. More importantly, BOB has broken down the deadlock between safety and speed. Decentralized verification network+lightweight state proof, no loss in latency, and online anti censorship capability. So the 'bridge' is no longer just a passage, but a fundamental component that can support a multi chain ecosystem. Other bridges are still in the process of making choices, but BOB has already done this thing to both ends. The areas of data and interoperability have also declined. After joining Chainlink SCALE, all necessary institutional level data feeds are now available, with auditable price and reserve certificates; Cross chain relying on CCIP, the liquidity of stablecoins such as USDC and OpenUSDT can be easily accessed with just one click. For developers, this is the foundation for starting work with peace of mind: doing derivatives, lending, and more complex markets all have reliable oracle machines and cross chain channels to support them. The user experience is also convenient: EVM compatible, and many Ethereum applications can be used almost simply by moving them over; Native BTC can directly participate in DeFi without having to shell it; One click revenue and cross chain operations are routine operations; Ordinals、Runes、 Even the gameplay of AI tools has been given a runway by BOB. You have also seen the lineup behind the platform, Coinbase Ventures, Mechanism, IOSG... These are not poster Easter eggs, but real resources that push the ecosystem forward. One thing I like about BOB is that it doesn't shout slogans or engage in "fast food style innovation". It is to honestly repair the bridge in place, solidly polish the safety, and introduce liquidity, so that BTC can truly "move". For developers, this is the window period of hybrid security paradigm; For ordinary users, this is the first opportunity to enjoy DeFi flexibility without sacrificing trust in the main chain. If you have ever thought that 'Bitcoin is suitable for lying flat', @ build_on_bob is basically rewriting this sentence with engineering. My suggestion is simple: make a small deposit and withdrawal, try OpenUSDT and cross chain routing, and see how the dispute process of BitVM is implemented. After experiencing it, you are likely to understand that this is not a bridge with a different packaging, but the step to truly connect BTC to programmable finance. @cookiedotfun BuildOnBOB Bitcoin CookieFun
