Citigroup: Total circulating supply of stablecoins may increase to $1.6-3.7 trillion by 2030

Odaily Planet Daily News: Citibank predicts that the total circulating supply of stablecoins may increase to $1.6 trillion to $3.7 trillion in different scenarios by 2030. It is expected that the supply of stablecoins will still be mainly denominated in US dollars (about 90%), while non US countries will drive the development of their own CBDCs. Citigroup analysts wrote in a recent report: "Despite long-term potential, opportunities are still in the early stages, with limited visibility into timing and end-user acceptance." (LedgeInsights)
