Gold Finance reported that the yield of US 20-year treasury bond was lower than that of 30-year treasury bond on Monday, the first time in nearly four years, reflecting that the long end of the yield curve of US bonds returned to normal to some extent. The yield of long-term treasury bond continued to rise, because the market expected the Federal Reserve would begin to cut interest rates, and bet that the expansion of the fiscal deficit would lead to an increase in the supply of treasury bond. On Monday, the yield of 30-year treasury bond bonds with the longest maturity was slightly higher than the 20-year yield in late trading, the first time since October 2021. On Tuesday, the yield of 30-year US Treasury bonds was still less than one basis point higher than that of 20-year bonds. In 2022, the interest rate increase cycle of the Federal Reserve will drive the yield of all maturities of US bonds to rise, and the yield of 20-year treasury bond bonds will once be up to 30 basis points higher than that of 30-year bonds.
