After two years of drinking, I almost drank up his stock of wine. I must have dozens of boxes of wine, almost one bottle a week. He was a bit distressed about all the wine he drank. He was not distressed about money, but couldn't buy it in Singapore. It was very troublesome to transport it. Friends around him, including the old man @ Trader_S18, would carry wine whenever they returned to China, and that was what they carried. Maotai is actually okay, it's relatively convenient to buy, but the taste of Maotai back then was just average. I've also been drinking Maotai from his family's vintage, and the last one I drank was from 2017, which should have been the last bottle.
