During this interview, @tedcruz claims that Tucker is obsessed with Israel. Remarkably, Cruz says that AFTER admitting to Tucker that when Cruz ran for office 13 years ago, he made it clear that he was going to Washington to foster and protect Israel’s relationship with America. Wth? For example, when I ran for the Senate against @ewarren last year, people asked why I was running. My answer was that I love America and believed elected officials did not have America and Americans’ best interests at heart; I wanted to push for term limits; attack the wealth gap and help poor people escape poverty; tackle the debt, secure the border, improve health care, fight opioid addiction, tackle inflation, and end foreign wars, to name a few reasons. It’s very odd for someone to say I want to go to Washington to foster, improve and protect a foreign nation’s relationship with America. Period, even if that nation is a friend and ally. But Cruz also said God, through the Bible, demands that we bless, honor and protect Israel. In sum, I don’t think Ted Cruz should claim Tucker, or anyone else, is the one obsessed with Israel.
