The 300 BTC received by Ross's donation address is suspected to have come from a compliant risk control address but not from self donation

According to ZachXBT's on chain tracking analysis, the donation address of Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht received 300 BTC from the output of the cryptocurrency mixing service Jambler. The relevant funds may be related to two addresses (1Mp5hH and 1CNDW), which were previously associated with the transaction in 2014 and 2019, respectively, and marked in compliance tools. Both made significant deposits to Jambler between April and May 2025, coinciding with the time of the donation. ZachXBT believes that this donation is not a Ross self donation, but there are compliance risks associated with its source.
