The Web3 attention economy is brewing a breakthrough experiment of "billion level user level". The new project T-Rex @ TREX_chain announced the completion of a $17 million Pre Seed financing, backed by well-known institutions such as Framework Ventures and Arbitrarum Gaming Ventures. Its goal is clear: to "steal" users from platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and X into Web3 through seamless on chain and encrypted rewards. T-Rex, developed under the leadership of EVG, is essentially an "attention engine" aimed at ordinary consumers. It records user likes, browsing, sharing, and other behaviors through browser plugins, and conducts on chain proof based on the "Proof of Stake" mechanism to reward tokens. Technically, the Nitro engine built on Arbitrarum Orbit is combined with zkTLS to achieve low latency and privacy protection. Users do not need a wallet or knowledge of blockchain, they only need to operate it like they do when surfing the internet on a daily basis, and receive automatic rewards. T-Rex attempts to solve the 'Web3 cold start problem': why have past on chain applications always fallen into a 'digital ghost city'? Why do users and content creators always quickly leave after airdrops? The answer provided by T-Rex is: "Return to familiar usage scenarios of Web2 and complete the incentive chain in the background. The project plan is to officially launch plugins this summer and provide an $8 million ecosystem fund to support developers in accessing them. Its target ecosystem covers mainstream content platforms such as social media, gaming, and e-commerce. Brave was one of the earliest practitioners on the Web3 attention economy track. With the BAT token, Brave allows users to choose to watch ads and earn profits, with a current monthly active user base of 87 million. Unlike Brave, which focuses on advertising scenarios, T-Rex attempts to expand to almost all types of content interaction, with a wider coverage and deeper incentive mechanisms. From the perspective of Brave's user growth path, the "reward for content" model is realistic and feasible. If T ‑ Rex succeeds in lowering the threshold and activating high-frequency interaction, it may be expected to create a combination of "Today's Headlines+Tiktok" for Web3, which will bring a truly decentralized version to the attention economy.
