Chorus One: The Lido oracle hacking incident has limited impact and customer funds have not been affected The oracle service provider Chorus One announced that on May 10th, a hot wallet managed by Chorus One for voting in Lido oracle was accessed by unauthorized entities, resulting in the transfer of 1.46 ETH. At present, the wallet is undergoing DAO voting to remove it from the oracle collection and replace it with a newly generated and secure new address. The preliminary investigation results indicate that this is an isolated incident with limited impact. The affected hot money bags can be traced back to 2021 and were originally designed to maintain only a low balance, specifically for the operation of Lido oracle machines. Therefore, it did not follow the same strict security standards as other keys managed by Chorus One. At present, Lido's prophecy key is securely stored in HashiCorp Vault and follows the principle of minimum privilege, implementing strict access control. We have conducted a comprehensive review of the entire infrastructure and have not found any broader signs of intrusion. We are confident that no customer funds or verifier infrastructure have been affected and believe that the scope of the impact of this incident has been brought under control.
