Taichung father and son open counterfeit currency store to launder NT $3.1 billion, prosecutor seeks 20 years in prison

According to the recent report of the United Daily, (Taiwan, China, China) Taizhong Zhou's father and son cooperated with overseas fraud groups to open 10 virtual coin stores throughout Taiwan to launder money in USDT, involving up to NT $3.1 billion and more than 1000 victims. The Yunlin District Prosecutors' Office has charged 17 people with aggravated fraud and money laundering, and is seeking a 20-year heavy sentence for the main suspects, including Zhou Hongwei.
