Coinbase Chief Legal Officer: This case is far from over as the Treasury Department has not promised not to retaliate against Tornado Cash sanctions

According to a report by Golden Finance, Paul Rewal.eth, Chief Legal Officer of Coinbase, stated in an article on X platform that the US Treasury Department has argued that there is no need for a final court ruling after lifting the Tornado Cash sanctions list. However, the case is far from over as the Treasury Department has not promised not to reintroduce sanctions. Coinbase's Chief Legal Officer Paul Rewal.eth pointed out that "power will not voluntarily retreat, it will only struggle until it is powerless to turn back the tide. The Ministry of Finance submitted another lawsuit against Tornado Cash before the end of work on Friday, reluctantly lifting the sanctions list but claiming that there is no need for a final court ruling - which clearly violates legal principles.
