Trump says he is considering an unprecedented large-scale attack on Iran

Axios has just released an exclusive interview with Trump, in which he clearly stated that he is seriously considering restarting large-scale military operations against Iran, with the scale of the attack exceeding the previous "Epic Fury Operation."

Trump also mentioned that as soon as the United States requests, Israel "will join within two minutes," but the United States does not need help from other countries and is capable of launching operations independently. At the same time, he acknowledged that Israel's involvement would face consequences, clearly referring to the possibility of Iran launching larger-scale retaliation against Israel.

However, there is still no formal decision to go to war. Trump did not set a deadline, and two U.S. officials also confirmed to Axios that the White House has not issued new military orders.

This indicates that Trump is elevating the military threat to the highest level, but still keeps the final negotiation window open.

Trump believes that Iran indeed wants to negotiate, but is currently not ready to accept an agreement. He even directly stated that the "pain Iran is enduring is not enough," which essentially indicates the current U.S. strategy to continue to expand military and economic pressure, forcing Iran to make concessions regarding safety in the Strait of Hormuz, commercial vessels, and regional military actions.

Over the past 12 days, the United States has been continuously escalating its attacks on Iran, trying to prevent Iran from attacking commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, but Iran has not changed its stance and continues to expand its regional actions. Meanwhile, the Houthis in Yemen have begun to attack Saudi vessels in the Red Sea, putting both the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea—two critical energy transport routes—at risk, and oil prices have surpassed $100 per barrel.
