My MacBook is still the first generation M1, the 2020 version, and it's almost six years old now. It's still the main tool I use when I go out, and it's also my development machine for app development.

I should have replaced it long ago. Last year I said I would wait for the new model, but then the new model came out, and since I haven't gone out, I was too lazy to buy it. Now that I really need to go out, I find that the MacBook prices have gone up, and I can't bear to buy it.

You could call me stingy; the gaming console + games that are lying idle at home could buy two or three of the latest MacBooks. I think it might be because I'm sentimental and don't really want to change, but I want to replace my home PC three times a year.

A couple of days ago the Touch Bar broke, and I was thinking finally I have to replace💻 it, but after restarting, it magically worked again. I can patch it up and still use it for another year.
